Jackie Robitaille is a singer from Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
A shy eleven-year-old, Jackie came to adore music through exposure to Classical choral music in a grade school music class. In awe of the freedom, beauty, and joy that singing inspired in the performer and the audience, Jackie followed her passion and trained for many years, studying English, French, German, and Italian songs. Jackie later went on to enroll in a vocal performance program at the local university where she delved further into learning about the voice and honing her performance skills.
Inspired by her brother Pat Robitaille and his songwriting, Jackie began writing songs and incorporating piano arrangements into what would become original Folk-Pop ballads. Jackie began to perform regularily throughout her hometown and also across the country in living room concerts and music bars.
Always keen on Old Jazz, Jackie has recently taken to interpreting standards, feeling she is at a place emotionally and vocally to offer a certain seasoning that this genre demands. Jackie infuses the beloved, lush and timeless tunes of an era gone by with what must be the freedom, beauty and joy that inspired her to begin singing as a young girl.
